People have complained that motorists plying on the newly constructed road linking Ogba to college run at a very high speed thereby giving pedestrians unrest because of the competitive driving being exhibited.

It will be recalled that there was an accident which nearly claimed the life of the driver three weeks after the road's completion because of the over-speeding.

A resident, Mr. Kehinde Ojo, when asked, attributed the reckless driving to the new development of the road, adding that it is intoxicating the drivers.

''The contractors have done very well in constructing this road, however i think because it is still a new road, that is why drivers run at high speed''.

Mr. Ojo however advised that the contractors should return to build speed bumps on  the road which will help limit car speed.

''It will be better if the contractors can return to build speed bump that will limit the rate at which drivers run, so pedestrians can walk in peace while passing by and crossing the road''.

In a related development, some residents however think that Arab Contractors are yet to complete their work because of the gutters that are yet to be cleared, adding that water does not pass through as it contains some abandoned working materials from the contractors.
